When to go
- April–June: escape the Deccan and Vidarbha heat. Nagpur families in particular will appreciate it.
- October: after the monsoon and before Diwali crowds; clear and pleasant.
- Ganpati season: late August or September is green and quieter in Kashmir, if you can get away.
