Quick answerFrom almost anywhere in India, the fastest way to Kashmir is a flight to Srinagar, direct or via Delhi. Northern states can also drive or take the train via Jammu and Katra. Plan 4–5 nights from the north, 5–6 nights from the west and south, and 6–7 nights from the North-east, where journeys are longest.

How to choose your route
- Direct flights to Srinagar are confirmed from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Amritsar, among others. Check current schedules.
- Via Delhi works from almost every other airport in India.
- By train, reach Jammu Tawi or Katra, then take the Katra–Srinagar Vande Bharat (about 3 hours).
- By road, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh are a long day's drive via Pathankot and Jammu.
